Top Models Made in Paris

Documentary about African mixed raced models in Paris
The title and description is inaccurate- it should be called Top Afro Models Made in Paris. The models are all mixed race, many a combination of African and European mixed descent. The main discussion is about the difficulties of being a mixed race model in Paris. The frankness of the French (aha) talking about race is refreshing compared to the pc-laden talk in the US, which makes any real discussion impossible.

On the downside: this is not a high-scale production. The film is a bit blurry, the subtitles were clearly not done by an English (or at least American) speaking native. And there are repeated super-cheesy overlays of a panther photoshopped (badly) walking on water near a bridge at night...with the parallel made that Afro mixed race models are mysterious, sleek, alluring with cat-like eyes. But it is just super cheesy.

But entertaining overall to watch when all the tv shows are in reruns.

Not Made in Paris
Thiis doc gives an honest look at the career experiences of ethnic models in Paris and what helps them succeed in the fashion. industry

difficult to watch
Not in english and difficult to watch the camera man waves the camera all over the place and subtitles print over the scenes. Movie is a reality type so no story line to follow. I turned it off 5 minutes into the movie.
